A Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity (NIPP) test can confirm paternity as early as 10 weeks into pregnancy with no risk to the baby. We come to you, take a simple blood draw from the mother and a cheek swab from the alleged father, and the AABB-accredited lab does the rest.
NIPP works by analyzing the baby's DNA, which naturally circulates in the mother's bloodstream during pregnancy. That's all the lab needs. The baby is never touched, never tested directly, never put at risk.
The earliest a NIPP can be performed is 10 weeks gestation. By that point, enough of the baby's DNA is present in the mother's blood for accurate analysis.
A certified specialist arrives at your home, workplace, or any private location across Southern California. There is no need to travel during pregnancy.
A standard blood draw from the mother's arm. Routine, painless, and identical to any blood draw she may have had during prenatal care.
A quick, painless cheek swab takes about 30 seconds. That's all the lab needs from the alleged father.
Samples are processed by an AABB-accredited laboratory, the same gold-standard accreditation used for legal DNA testing.
Delivered securely via email. Hardcopy results can be added if you want a printed version mailed to you (+$25).
Pregnancy is enough to navigate without an open question hanging over it. Most families who come to us choose prenatal testing for one simple reason: they want clarity now, not later.
The earlier you know, the more time you have to plan, prepare, and have the conversations that matter, without the added weight of pregnancy unknowns.
Compare prices & tests →Older prenatal paternity methods involved invasive procedures with real risk. NIPP changed that. Here's why it's considered the safest prenatal paternity option available today.
The baby's DNA is collected from the mother's blood, not from the baby. There are no needles, instruments, or procedures performed near the uterus or amniotic fluid.
Older prenatal paternity tests required amniocentesis (inserting a needle into the amniotic sac) which carried a small but real risk of miscarriage. NIPP eliminates that risk entirely.
Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) is another invasive prenatal procedure with associated risks. NIPP doesn't require this either.
The only sample collected from the mother is a routine blood draw from her arm. The same kind of draw she may already have had during prenatal care.
NIPP is widely accepted by obstetricians as a safe, non-invasive option. If you'd like to discuss it with your OB before scheduling your appointment, we encourage that conversation.
NIPP samples are processed by the same AABB-accredited laboratory standard used for court-admissible legal DNA tests. Same rigor, same accuracy.
The base price covers two participants: the mother and one alleged father. Each additional alleged father is +$200.
